Gilbert, I would be interested in your grief with Ubuntu - in another
thread.

Allen,

'sudo apt-get install kubuntu-desktop'
On the screen where one logs in (after reboot and install) you should have
an options button - click it and select KDE or gnome then select it as the
default.
