Well, I JUST tried to put truecrypt (truecrypt.org) on a Slackware 10.0 
server.   I was not having much success getting it to compile.  I 
haven't tried a newer version of Slackware yet, and I haven't yet 
figured out what the hang-up was.  Even so, truecrypt did look pretty 
feature rich and cross platform compatible.  It can even be compiled in 
a no-gui mode although it still seems to need the wxWidgets library -- 
go figure.
