I've started using eCryptFS to have a ~/Private directory that gets
encrypted.  I like this solution because it can get mounted on my login
instead of on boot up, and each user can have their own.  It's not as
secure as things like the filenames are visible to an attacker, but I
think it's secure enough for the uses I have for encryption (worry about
my laptop getting stolen with GnuCash files on it).
