[NTLUG:Discuss] xsane and pnm file format

In xsane 0.994, there's a button "Type" that you can set to the type of 
file to save to, which includes:

EXT (you pick the file type by extension)
JPEG
PDF
PNG
PNM
PostScript
Text
TIFF

Above this is a button next to a bull's eye symbol that lets you view 
(Viewer), save, copy (wants to send to a printer), multipage, fax and 
e-mail.

Multipage is good if you're scanning documents and PDF makes it nicer as 
you can create a multipage pdf as you scan.
