Hi Allen.
HP support is usually reasonably easy to get a hold of, and I don't
think a new OEM OS disk is something they charge for.  They did not
charge me the last time, but that was a few years ago, as well, and they
were making record profits at the time.  And the one they shipped me
allowed me to skip the MS Licensing stuff when I re-installed it on my
laptop (I had to nuke Oracle, only way to completely get rid of it from
a MS machine).
