[NTLUG:Discuss] Does the cable splitter matter?

I wonder the cable splitter will reduce the signal or slow for internet connection.

 

I have googled about it, and found some one said use 5~1000 MHz is better than the regular 5-900 Mhz

I found redio have one 40-2100 MHz, is it better? will this 5-40 MHz different will have any effect on the internet band width or speed?

 

any one recommands a good one?
