This has been my main complaint about Linux since 1999 when I first
loaded RedHat 5.0. I don't necessarily what to learn how to program
just because I want to run a better operating system. Hence my love for
apt. I have had one thing fail to work using apt and that was because I
wasn't the only one who didn't know how to program! Since building a
Mac G-4 I have found something else which works just as well as my OS of
choice. The choices in software ARE a bit more limited though. One
thing, Mac OS-X comes with Apache already installed, but you have to
turn it on first.. That said, there are plenty of other things which
run which probably should not. Peace, Dennis
