First way is to pull the hard drive and hook it up in another machine 
and suck the data needed off the drive.  Second way is a handy little 
tool which will connect to and power the drive on one end and plug into 
USB two on another machine and get the data you need to save from it.

You might want to download, burn to CD, and run Memtest-86 to see if the 
memory if flaky.
