Progress:
Moved HD to enclosure and copied data to Linux machine - went quite well
Returned HD to original machine, plus added two more drives - plan
is Linux (single boot) on the two new drives and mount the old data on
old drive - it is a comfort factor for the owner of the box
Linux install failed - was good through partitioning, and then
failed during the actual install
BTW - never could get a Live CD to boot on this box
Running Memtest86+ v1.70 (came with the install CD)
So far, 5 passes with one error in the 3rd pass
Question:
Cure? or just replace the memory?
Thank you in advance for any help you may be able to offer
Regards
Fred James
