[NTLUG:Discuss] SuSE 11.2 and odd OpenOffice issues

I'm getting the bottom cut off of some buttons, etc. in Open Office
Writer and the status menu across the bottom infrequently (also
inconsistently) shows it's items.  Also, OpenOffice Writer used to
"remember" the last cursor position in a document but no longer.

Is anyone else experiencing these issues?  Do you know how to fix them?

I have used sax2 (had to because the video wasn't correctly guessed by X
- discovered this when, to my surprise, there was no xorg.conf) and the
video card (SIS650) and monitor (ViewSonic A70) are set.
