[NTLUG:Discuss] Held for authorization

Howdy,
I have a system running Ubuntu 9.10 and I want to use a networked
printer with it. The printer is connected to a OpenSuse 11.1 system and
shared with Samba. When I try to print from the Ubuntu system, the
print job gets as far as showing that it is "Held for Authorization".
On the Ubuntu system, I get a dialog asking for my user credentials. I
have tried a valid user and password combination(valid on the OpenSuse
machine), as well as guest/guest. I have opened the UDP(137 and 138)
and TCP(139 and 445) ports that seem to be needed on the OpenSuse
machine. The samba configuration on the OpenSuse machine should allow
the guest/guest for user and password, I believe, but maybe I have done
it wrong. Does anyone have an idea where I should look? One more thing
I can add is that a samba file share on the OpenSuse machine is
accessible from the Ubuntu machine.
The network is a small business lan and we are not particularly worried
about someone printing on the printer. So, I'd like a solution that is
easy to manage, but not too bad on security. I am very concerned about
any samba share of files on the network, but not so much worried about
the printer. Please tell me if you think I really should be more
worried about the printer.
Good day,
Ralph
