My comment is more a response to the "Any particular value" question
than recommending a client. I've started to download podcasts directly
to my portable device (using google listen on an android phone), and
get frustrated at the idea of side-loading a portable player through a
computer. A nice side-effect of using google listen is that google
reader stays up to date with my subscriptions and what I've listened
to; If I'm ever sitting at a browser (with a compatible flash plugin)
I can listen
to my subscriptions there.

Peter
