...I haven't read the messages, but somehow I'd expect "release 
candidate" to mean "this is what we plan to release".  Anything 
less should probably still be called "beta".

(As most know, I also highly recommend Ubuntu in general and I'm
eagerly awaiting Lucid; I plan to upgrade my systems as soon as
I can get the official binaries.  I'll share my opinions/review
of it then. :-)
