I don't have a Live CD and I'm trying not to make any more work than
windows has already forced on me. I've already spent 4 hours trying to
convince windows that it's ok to run. It won't even keep the USB device
active. The installer CD uses the USB mouse, but the HD installation
shuts it down during boot. Then this "I won't run unless you go on the
Internet and activate me" crap. So what happens when windows won't run
the ethernet device?
Sorry - RANT mode off
The Mandriva install CD should give me what I need. The install CD
rescue mode is less flexible than a Live CD but, as long as I have a
command line, "mount", "find", and "cpio" I'm good to go. I haven't
used the rescue mode to mount a windows drive before, so there is an
unknown here.
