If you are planning on watching recorded HDTV, your P4 may have trouble 
keeping up.  If you have a video card that supports XvMC, that would be 
better.

As for the tuner, I highly recommend a HDHomeRun.  It connects via 
ethernet so it is easy to setup and can be used from multiple computers. 
  It also has excellent MythTV/Linux support.
