Purchased this thinking it would be my last and age as well as circumstance make it a reality.
I am stuck with it.
1. The existing HD configuration made extended a must. It had 3 primaries already. I partitioned
a swap as well as a partition for Data and one for Ubuntu
2. Attempted load 10.10 and whether it was me or model I was forced into recovery.
3. Goggled discovered other faced similar complaints, but did load 10.04
4. Installed 10.04 to a dual boot and it was on line as well wireless with win 7. (not a windows lover)
so this Ubuntu is really important.
If it might help in understanding my hardware it would not install SUSE 11.3 either until I
used acpi=off. Will not get into what transpired as result because my only concern is Ubuntu and upgrade.
Please someone tell me how to live with this and go up as Ubuntu goes.
Thanks
Allen Meyers
