Howdy,
I like this kind of device and keep 1 or 2 of them handy. They are
easy to make yourself. I bought a couple of access points and installed
DDWR to replace the native firmware. It has this client bridhe mode
built in. Used access points on Craig's List that work fine can be had
for $10 to $25. I usually spend $10 or $15, but a friend wanted one
right away and we had to spend $25 for the Linksys model that was
available right then. The biggest trick is that you have to be sure the
access point you get is one that is supported by DDWRT. You have to
check the brand, model, and version number. A Netgear and a Dlink I
converted recently even support the Wireless N standard for extra speed.

DDWRT seems to be the easiest to setup and that's why I mention it
first. Their are other related projects. OpenWRT has more options if
you want to do anything unusual, but supports directly less devices.
I'll try to help you off-list, if you want assistance getting a good
model and setting it up.

BTW, since Airlink was mentioned here. The Airlink 101 devices run
DDWRT, but for some reason did not work in client bridge more for me. I
have not had a similar problem with any other device I reflashed.
Good luck,
Ralph
