[NTLUG:Discuss] Need Printer Advice (1)

For regular B&W printer, I have been very very happy with my Brother 
HL-2170W.

Wired and Wireless (WEP Only - an issue) network printer, easy to setup 
with Cups, or whatever OS. I have setup without special drivers with 
network printer with CUPS on a Debian system, Ubuntu, MacOSX, Windows 
(Vista, XP, 7).

For color printing, scanning etc, I'll defer to others, but for B&W 
laser printing (Most of what you may well be doing) I would go with the 
Brother any day, and if needed, get another device for special color 
jobs or multi-function.
