[NTLUG:Discuss] Distro Advice

Howdy,
I try a lot of distros and I keep coming back to debian based distos
for my most important machines. They work better for multimedia.
But, the most imporant hing is that I don't have to keep installing
the OS every few months. Fedora almost works well enough for me. By
a few months after I install it and have it operating well, a new
version comes out. And, Fedora does not upgrade well. You are
expected to reinstall it and then start he tweaking process all over.
Now, maybe I have misundertood something and I will get advice on how
to keep the Fedora machine humming along. I almost always have a
Fedora machine running. It just has not been good enough to make it
to my main computer because of the upgrade issue.
I hardly ever have a computer newer that a couple f years old. So,
drivers have not been an issue for me for years with any major distro.
Good day,
Ralph
