I believe its fiber to the building now.  I guess you could say that's 
the new curb :)  I'm not sure what they do on the inside anymore. 
When my neighbor had it installed it took all day so it's not just a 
plugin and go.  My neighbor isn't a source for technical info, he just 
writes the checks for that sort of thing :o

 From what little I've been able to get out of Verizon phone support 
is that I can connect either cat 5 or coax.  They didn't know if that 
was to the FIOS box (outside) or some device inside.

You would think this info would be easy to find, UGH!
