Well... it's still active. But far from the days when we were having
regular attendance between 200 and 300 people (and frankly, the current
facility can't support that anyhow!).

With that said, like the NTPCUG, I see too much "age" in our attendees (no
offense and self certainly included in that). And this is a larger
problem IT wise in that younger people are not choosing and IT career
path.

Can we do something to help attendance wise? Sure... we need to be more
active in our communities, especially in the school systems and with
younger people. I think we could easily double our attendance, which
right now is in the low 20's. It's not unusual for there to be less than
20 at the main meeting in fact.

With that said, the LIP group still lives on and so combined we come in on
average in the lower 20's as far as average attendance goes.

In some ways, small can be good in that seating is usually not a problem.

If we had 40+ in attendance for a main meeting, we would run out of chairs.

But one could also argue, maybe that's a good problem to have.

We have some other ideas that have been worked on, but just haven't come
completely together implementation wise, like a VM based self paced
training element. I'm sort of anxious to see this get going (Cory, one of
our members is heading this up), and just to see what all has to be
"tweaked" to make it successful.
