Howdy,
  I don't think the concern is about blind people doing the Linux
installs.  It is more that they are used to one way of setting up
machines and hope they can do it that way on Linux.  I think it might
work, but I don't know if all device drivers for machine 2 woulld be
installed if it was different hardware than machine 1.  I can't say I
know my concern is valid because I never install that way,  Can anyone
else comment?
  Now, to directly address Gil's question.  I'll look into the fldt
program on Friday.  If the license is acceptable, I will probably
offer to do the work you ask for.
