[NTLUG:Discuss] Adapetc 2940UW SCSI Problems

Checked in my kernel graveyard and I used to run 2.0.36. Last time I
bulit that was on May 15, 1999. I never had any problems with the
aic7xxx driver thats used for the 2940UW. The README.aic7xxx in the
kernel source mentions several debug flags that you can supply as kernel
boot arguments to make the error reporting much more verbose. This
should allow you to track it down further...

I also have version 2.0.31 in my kernel graveyard and it looks as though
there were some pretty significant changes to this driver. It went up a
major version number for instance.

For reference, here is what my kernel boot messages look like under
