[NTLUG:Discuss] 3com/usr modem setup

Thanks, Randall.
So, if the Windows and Linux serial ports don't necessarily match up, and
USR doesn't tell me which port it should use, how do I know which one to
'setserial' on? Or, does it matter which one I use?
Then, if I get that, how do I now that the I/O address from dmesg is the
right one?
Maybe I'm just missing something really important, but it seems like the
How-tos I've read leave out a lot of things like that.

Thanks again for your help,
Chris

Sometimes they match up like that, but not always.

There is a modem how-to there.
