  log in as root, and run 

df

  If you find that disk usage is at 100% for any partition, you will have
the problem nailed.

  You must log in as root and determine where the disk usage is.  It is
almost always in 

  /var/log
  /var/spool

  I believe that RH 5.2 had some log/spool rotation problems in their
early days.  You have probably filled up your hard drive.  Since all
stores print about the same amount of information (or log about the same
amount of information), I expect that the problem should have hit each one
within about 2 or three days.
