[NTLUG:Discuss] since you mentioned POPTOP...

That is exactly what I'm trying to setup at this time.
I've recently replaced my Slack 7.1 server with a Slack 8 server. I had
poptop working on my Slack 7.1 server in some sort of fashion. My working
theory as to what went wrong with my last integration of poptop was that
because I was using a 10.x.x.x network number, the network mask that would
be given to the remote vpn client would be 255.0.0.0. So much for the
ability to route properly between segments.
SooOOoOOOOoo.... I have just recently changed to a 192.168.x.x addressing
scheme here. My theory is that now the remote subnet will get a mask of
255.255.255.0. I'm still in the middle of testing all of this so I guess I
don't have an actual poptop question as of yet.
How 'bout this one. Is there any other "Microsoft VPN adapter" compatible
VPN solution for Linux? Also, what is the easiest Linux -to- Linux VPN
solution? I heard someone mention a VPN via FTP...or the FTP port.
