Bruce,

>From K menu select "Configuration -> Printing -> KUPS - CUPS
Administration".  Assuming your running KDE, that is.

Select the "printer -> add printer/class" menu item and one option will
be to setup an SMB (Windows) printer.  Mine is grayed out since I don't
have any windows machines attached but you should have the option
available.
