[NTLUG:Discuss] X over SSH again...

Hi Guys.

I am using ssh -A -X -C -g account at server

On Laptop (gorky) ForwardX11 = yes
On Workstation (davidson) ForwardX11=no. Changed to yes. Restarted SSH. No difference.

Time to twist some more brains...

Third computer (called www3), just checked.
From davidson to www3 - gui windows come up nicely, whether or not ForwardX11=yes is set in ssh_config, as I log in using ssh -X
From davidson to laptop - no gui
From laptop to other computers (including davidson) - gui
From davidson to other computers (except Laptop gorky) - gui

In all cases (except laptop), DISPLAY=localhost:10.0
In case of laptop, DISPLAY=gorky:10.0 (was originally localhost:10.0, which did not work either).

Ok, so what does my workstation have against my laptop, and
where do I fix it?????

Regards,
Steve
