Efficient, yes.  But the more important detail is the ability to backup
the instance and "re-plop it down" if necessary.  That's the power of
virtualization -- massively reduced TCO.

If you have the ability to install software, you have the ability to
show people not with a "crusade" per se, but with work.

E.g., a lot of companies don't like to buy MS Visio or Adobe
Illustrator.  So I use Draw in OpenOffice.org.  It's pretty powerful --
far more powerful than the drawing component in MS Office, that's for
sure.
