Hi Steve.
9.3 Pro - Has Manuals.
9.3 Update - No Manuals.
You can do a clean install with the update.
"Gotcha for updating";
The config files are not necessarily compatible between 8.x & 9.x (or
even 9.2 & 9.3). So, your best bet is to do a clean install for your
update. And the only way to do that is to reformat your system
partitions and /etc. Obviously, you want to make a copy of your configs
and settings to refer back to before updating, especially the stuff in
/etc/sysconfig. I have not yet seen any evidence of SuSE getting the
kinks out of their upgrade paths.
Should also note, there are issues with KDE upgrades and the user config
files in the home directories. They don't always auto-upgrade
properly. I have not taken the time to find out why, or how to smoothly
work an upgrade.
Others may have some other tips and/or warnings.
Regards,
Steve
