MythTV is a PVR.  If that's all you're going to use it for,
great!  Yes, it's a big consumer app, you're right.

I was talking about more digital editing and other
applications.  It was clear there is still some needed
support in various toolsuites/applications.  But even then I
mentioned that it probably won't be long given the codec has
software released as GPL.

That's all I was saying.  I wasn't trying to say what was
"better," just what is supported now.  It's a consideration
when you're going to spend ~$100 more for a product now.

I'd be interested in what you're using it for, and any issues
you've run into.
