A question:
Why not support PI?
Side note:
I've tried KateOS, Vector, Debian low/mem, Deli Linux, Basic Linux, Xubuntu, DSL , FreeBSD, older Slackware and probably other feather weight / distros geared towards minimal prerequisites. Basic ran the smoothest and DSL has superb hard ware support. Debian performed best across categories.
For video it would be nice to see a distro that provides a guaranteed resolution (simple VGA) if the video card can't be identified (DSL basically does this could be better implemented).
Network cards / pcmcia extra thorough support. Sound, printers etcetera can be fixed later possibly. If you can't network / connect to the internet you're up a creek.
IceWM. I love IceWM. However, I think the biggest discouragement for many users is the 'my desktop' concept. I understand you don't want nautilus or the like running in the background eating up cpu and memory. Could there be a listing / linking alternative to somehow at least make a folder on an IceWM desktop that could be activated and used in a fashion similar to 'my desktop.'
