Howdy,
Gnomemeeting is old. Look at its new incarnation, Ekiga. I use it
for a SIP phone. I was on a conference call to the HOPE conference for
several hours with it last weekend. It is supposed to do
video-conferencing, but I have not tried that yet. If you want to
experiment with it, I could run one side of a test conference and we
could try it. I am curious about that, myself. I am just using the
default install of Ekiga on Ubuntu 8.04.
What do you mean by a 10' interface? Do you want one that looks good
on a 10' screen? Or is it a metaphor for something that doesn't require
a lot of close twiddling to get it to work?
What do you think of Openfiler? I use FreeNAS and it works well. I
want to try Openfiler, but have not done so yet.
Good luck,
Ralph
