By 10' interface, I mean an interface that is usable 10' away from the screen, similar to the interface on a PVR or media center. What I would like is for my most inexperienced users be able to walk into the conference room, boot the computer, and then use a remote to choose from the address book what facility they would like to conference with. 

To be honest, I'm surprised that no-one has forked mythtv to a video conference system that allows you to use one of the Hauppauge tuner cards as the input and the Hauppauge remote to navigate the system.
