[NTLUG:Discuss] W3 Web Validators - Good or Bad?

i use the validator.w3.org to validate what i do. for me ultimately it's
just a matter of pride that i can generate a page that is compliant since
the real test of any page is whether it does what it needs to do and looks
'correct' doing it. i'd say one less obvious advantage is that validating
helps you understand what you should actually do when putting together a
site rather than simply throwing together whatever seems to work.
